To much Heat...Sting drops championship

Crowley, Louisiana-- Sting BBC gets off to a slow start for the 2009 season, dropping their first game 11-4 against LOS Baseball (Lake Charles). Highlights of the game include: Bryant Bowen's first at-bat of the 2009 season, two-run deep line drive homer over the right-field wall. Later that day, Sting played the Vermillion Vipers finishing in a 6-6 tie. Highlights of that game include: Austin Jordan's stellar pitching and featured another two-run homer by Bryant Bowen.

On Sunday, March, 22nd, Sting played LOS once again for single elimination. Highlights of that game featured stellar pitching by Tyler McCain and two back-to-back GRAND SLAMS by Bryant Bowen cementing the teams first win of 2009, (11-1 over LOS). Later that that day Sting also faced the Vermillion Vipers once again in single elimination play. Highlights of that game featured stellar pitching by John-Michael Boswell and a two-run home run by Tyler McCain and then another home run by Bryant Bowen -- giving him a total of five home runs and 14 RBIs for the weekend. Sting went on to win game 9-2.

For all the marbles Sting played Rayne Heat in the championship game. Highlights of that game include: a single-run home run by Hunter Bedgood and stellar pitching by "new comer" Bradley Potts. Sting's 6th inning comeback was not enough to tame the heat and would go on to loose the game 9-7.

Up Next; Sting will be playing in Shreveport at the 4th Annual April Fools NIT on Saturday, April 4th.
